Here’s a family friendly festival that brings a unique
addition to the Goan festival scene with artistes flocking in from all over the country and the world to bring stunning and impressive performances. The LaLaLand festival will be set in the beautiful lush garden of an old Portuguese mansion in Nagoa, North Goa, surprisingly centrally located not far from the busy nightlife of Calangute. Acts will include acrobatic and spectacular performances in the garden and a wide variety of music on the main stage plus intimate and thought provoking interactions like mime, cabaret, theatre, spoken word and more.
It’s funny that we say, “time for la la land” to little kids when trying to get them to bed at night. The La La Land Goa in focus here is definitely not for sleeping. This two-day festival is one of magic, joy and music and a fun event for the whole family. The venue for the first edition was the popular Museum of Goa in Saligao. And what a success it was. This time around for its second edition, it takes place in the lush garden of a beautiful Goan mansion in Nagoa, Arpora on the 19th and 20th of October.
Expect a wide variety of music, from Fado by Nadia Rebello and Classical Karnatic (on the saxophone!) by Madhav Haridas and Mayank Bedekar to the number one female beatboxer of India, Manasi Nene. Tritha and band will treat us from just simply beautiful to electric music. The young Goan talents of Uncut Diamonds will bring the Goan feel to the festival, with a mix of Konkani and folk songs, jazz and pop. Plus we have some more musical surprises…
